Please Stop Idolizing Heretics.
Thank you.
We see a great many people heralded as great leaders in our day who are not only unfit to be in the pulpit, but unfit to bear the name of Christian. I have included five of them on this page, but this number could be greatly multiplied, and these are included simply because they’re so commonly the subjects of popular adulation, that there is a greater utility in obviating their abominable beliefs. Billy Graham, C. S. Lewis, and “Mother” Teresa don’t even think you have to believe in Jesus to escape eternal judgment. Finney thought you were obliged to regenerate yourself, and denied there was even such a thing as imputed righteousness. There’s much more than this, but frankly, at the point that someone doesn’t even believe that faith in Jesus is essential to salvation, they absolutely cannot be a Christian. And yet try telling people that Billy Graham isn’t a Christian and they’ll be ready to stone you, so idolatrous is their attachment to persons, rather than to biblical truths. And that’s quite telling as to who they are for that matter. Hopefully these links will prove useful.
1. Billy Graham

The above link can only be accessed on “The Way Back Machine”, as I believe Mr. Beard may have passed. There are some things for which Mr. Graham is critiqued in the above article that may seem to many to be strangely irrelevant. I am using this link just because upon the whole I think it was a very thorough going assessment of Graham and his beliefs, some eccentricities notwithstanding. The below video, however, could not more alarmingly display Graham’s intolerable heresy. If you think you can be pardoned and reconciled to God without Jesus Christ, you are a lost man.
