The Truth about the Steve Lawson Scandal

New Information comes forward!!! Shocking details revealed!!!

So here are the shocking details about the Steve Lawson scandal. No one else has this info!

1. Steve Lawson egregiously sinned against God, by maintaining an adulterous union with a woman not his wife.

2. It was an ongoing pattern of sin lasting many years.

3. In his final sermon he spoke of not judging a man by their worst moment….. a “moment” lasting 5 years. So tragically, and hopefully heart rending to all believers, there is not yet a grounded hope of genuine repentance.

4. The shocking details are that the entire internet blogosphere has capitalized on it with enough click-bait to choke leviathan.

5. More shocking details: No one seems to recognize how perverse this RESPONSE to it all is. Why is it necessary for any of this viral frenzy to be taking place? It’s appropriate that the church knows the basics. The viral click-bait videos are shameful. Leave the man to his friends, and pray that God blesses him with a right mind, and a full return to a credible profession.

6. Please pray for God’s blessing on Steve’s marriage. Specifically, that true repentance, forgiveness, will open a viable path back to God’s intended fullness, and that a willingness to mutually probe the marital culture that left them vulnerable to catastrophe will be possible.

7. Your appropriate response:
a) Bring to mind your own idiocy, and fear God and try not to provoke His withdraw, lest you prove the next fool. Gal.6:1
b) Pray for Steve that he will be granted God-given repentance, and thus know the joy of God’s restoring favor, and be no longer darkened.
c) Pray for those close to Steve, that they may have grace and inspiration from God to speak words of wisdom to facilitate his true restoration to fellowship.
d) Eschew the frenzy and recognize that no one else needs to have anything to do with this, and stop patronizing the click-bait.

  1. Point 7 is a good one. Especially Galations 6:1. I need to drive that verse into my heart too. It is so easy to be the next fool. I know. I do pray for Steve Lawson and family.

    1. Amen to that. The older we get, the more distrusting of ourselves we should be. I’m deeply grieved by all of this. I really like Steve Lawson. I hope God works great things for him and his wife, and that his close associates will be granted of God to speak words that go to the quick, and call him to return.
